Some favourite playgrounds in the inner to middle eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Recently replaced in 2003, the playground at South Surrey Park is particularly lovely.
Verdun Street in Surrey Hills
What a delightful park this is! Brand new this week (May 2005), we have a gingerbread house complete with icing dripping from the roof, toadstools, stepping stones, a talking tube, a little bridge - also with dripping icing - and a teeter-totter.
Empress Road in Surrey Hills
Grovedale Park playground is clearly pitched at the junior/senior age groups, with some really impressive equipment to keep them entertained.
Grovedale Road in Surrey Hills
This is one of the exceptionally fabulous, new breed of playgrounds that the City of Boroondara has been constructing over the last couple of years.
Burke Road in Glen Iris
Train Park
'All Aboard!' at the new Boroondara Park, just updated in July 2015.
Canterbury Road in Canterbury
This is one of the best playgrounds in the east.
Parring Road in Balwyn
Tram Park
All aboard the Deepdene Special at this bright, cheery playground! The Deepdene Special is a purpose built tram just for the kids.
Whitehorse Road in Balwyn
Our kids had a marvellous time at this playground, and so did we.
Matlock Street in Canterbury
What a delight this park is, especially compared to the playground it replaced.
Cherry Road in Balwyn
We really like this playground.
Hilda Crescent in Hawthorn
