An easy walk from O'Connell Street, like many of the parklands playgrounds, this one is fully fenced.
Most of the play equipment is unshaded, so make sure you're prepared.
Besides the variety of play equipment there are trees and shrubs to play in, a fair bit of shade to sit in, plenty of grass to sit on and even kick a ball, plus toilets, seating, BBQ, and drink fountain.
Easy carparking on the street.

In the words of our four-year-old: 'Mummy, this park is cool'. This Glover playground really is fabulous and saw our kids entertained for ages.

The playground caters for all ages in separate sections. On one side of the park there are toddler swings that are really low to the ground, a nice sandpit with scoop digger, a little climbing structure for the little toddlers and several spring riders. Move to the centre and you find a helicopter and a wonderful spinning circle that kids can sit or lie on while it spins. I've never seen such a thing before, nor have I seen a lot of the other equipment here, including spinning wobbly stick things, and a magnificent framework of climbing walls, spinning things, and slidy things. I can't possibly do this space-age apparatus justice; you'll just have to go there to see it. There is also a more traditional structure with rope climbers, cubby, rope bridge and slide.

A huge area has been fenced in, so there is plenty of room for kids to run around. There is a bike rack just inside the fence, neat toilets with change table and barbecues. The garden beds have been recently planted with grasses and shrubs that will grow up to look really lovely.
