This playground was lovely! There are several sections to it, one better for the smallest and suitable for toddlers, one a pirate ship for more active children, and then collections of teen- and adult-sized exercise equipment. It's stretched along/above the river under many shady trees, with heaps of roofed and unroofed picnic tables, some BBQs and toilets.

The access is from the (i) bay just as you enter Margaret River from the north, and there's a reasonable amount of parking as part of the bay. The park is also accessible by walking trails from the town, and there are several bushwalking or jogging tracks that pass through (with posted maps so you can choose if any suit). The river is fenced off as it's down a steep slope from the park area, but there is a bridge allowing you to walk out over the river and look for birds or marron in the waters (we counted 12 one morning!). There's also a large old engine (Kate) which has ramp access so that children can get up into the engineer's compartment and climb all over it. We had plenty to do here and fill in a spare morning during our holiday, and talked with several local parents who were down keeping their children busy as well. It's a well-used, well-organised space.
