In addition to the lovely, large, toddler friendly timber playground, Ballam Park now has a HUGE new playground, it has the widest slide we've ever seen, ramps, swings, parkour walls and pipes and then a basketball court that doubles as a bike/skate/scooter area. A great addition to fantastic park.

This park is fantastic for children of all ages. The younger children seem to prefer the park at the front, its lower to the ground with smaller sides but the older children love that their is a big playground more suited for them. Theres a flying fox too which is a great hit!

Theres also a basketball ring, plenty of space to kick a ball, run around and have a picnic!

The barbeques were relatively clean compared to other parks I've been to as well and there are toilets! You really can't go wrong with a trip to Ballam park!

This playground can get busy, and for good reason. It rocks! It's huge! In fact, the playground equipment is on two separate sites, about 100 metres apart.

There are countless slides, swings, ramps, bridges, climbing equipment etc in all shapes and sizes, and suitable for varying skill levels. And the kids are fascinated with all the nooks and crannies where a game of hide-and-seek or chasey would never go astray.

In the playground closest to the main road, there is a lovely big tree and a gazebo that provide plentiful shade.

The area further from the road is a little more elevated and has some equipment suitable for children with disablilties. Here there is that spongey floor to pad minor falls.

There is a smaller fenced off area with equipment for younger toddlers. There is a child-proof fence and gate near the main road, and the playgrounds are set amongst sporting fields, so children can run and run and run! The fountain near the BBQ and tables area has been turned off during the water restrictions.

A wonderful place to meet up with mothers' groups or family friends for a picnic lunch. I keep saying "if only we lived closer" - we'd be visiting this playground every day!
